Notes About The Poem

Let's Rhyme

The storm of last night brought cool air
Tree frogs have much news now to share
Perfect weather for their rainwear
Clouds everywhere, clouds everywhere

Fog in the hollow tops the creek
This gift of gray clouds' cool not bleak
Sheer shawl fog adds its mystique
Veils of Batik, veils of Batik

The roosters in the hollow sing
Chorus of anthems loudly ring
Air holds song accelerating
God conducting, God conducting

This is such a lovely piece dear, reflecting that God's light always shines upon hearts even in times of foggy days.. You've created such a scenic ambience here with your mesmerizing words and imageries! "Sheer shawl fog adds its mystique", "The roosters in the hollow sing,Chorus of anthems loudly ring" Such artistic wordplay here & that last stanza is just so wonderful! Sending you love and light, dear poetess :)

Yes, there have been many foggy days here lately. Yes, those roosters did ring out at one time. The man who had them moved and we no longer enjoy their song. Thanks for the nice comments on my work and the smiley face. Sara K
