Let's Pretend

" Let's Pretend " Let's pretend the earth is square, That life is ultimately fair. Let's pretend we never grow old, That our fears are ever so bold. Let's pretend we all are quite smart, That in love or hate we never grow apart. Let's pretend the sky is gray, That tomorrow is not just another day. Let's pretend we are lovers, At sunrise beneath the covers. Or perhaps we are saints, Spreading upon canvas all our paints. No... let's just pretend we are what we are, Seen as strange in an eye from afar. For sure that is the truth of it, little by little every little bit. SeaWolf
