I've worked with non profits; found shelter for the homeless, made Christmas for homeless children -- had a lot of firsthand experience with drug addicts. lived with them. 70's and Nicaragua is a very complex subject. I am more interested in 2026, where we are now. Most anyone can succeed in the US if he truly wants to. 3 jobs, 4 jobs -- whatever it takes till you get better jobs. With a shovel and pickax I dug trenches in rock-like earth, in the desert, in 115-20 degree temperatures. Not a lick of shade. Was convinced I had died and gone to hell. But I didn't, and things got better. I hung in there. Will everyone succeed in the US, No. But odds are your favor. Best nation in the world to live.
