Let the Crows Feast

You are the light of the world, You are the warmth in winter, the shade in summer or so I was told. And when we die, You command the soul to leave the body on earth. When it is my time to go, unclothe my body, Leave it in the field for the maggots to eat and the crows to feast My flesh is meant for the animals, but with my soul I want to go. Maybe there is a calm lake or clear water streams that flow. But most of all my beautiful daughter will be there with sparkling eyes And upon seeing me, her face will light up with smiles! As I await my time, I will watch the days tick by. Yes I will live again, not now but after I die
