Let Me Sleep

Numb me down to the pain Let me sleep it all away Leave me now in my dreams Let me die there peacefully I don’t belong in this life I never fit let me die

This is a short yet expressive poem, Cindy. I can 'feel' what you are/were going through. Life is definitely not a bed of roses, but we have to learn to cope and not throw in the towel. May the sun shine more often in your life...bless you. *** Regards // paul

Paul, thank you so much for reading my poem and giving me feedback on it. You have no idea how much that means to me, whether positive or negative feedback. Very much helps me understand better how I'm coming across to readers. Thank you for your kind words. Take care, Cindy

This is beautiful but sad. As this is suicide prevention month I hope your heart is lifted my love by penning your poems on pages. I have felt this way and I am not proud to say I acted on it. God intervention and therapy followed. Now I can say I write my dilemma away. Looks as if you do too. Kudos. Well done.

Cindy, though this poem seems melancholic, I feel this is a very powerful writing. Keep it up. Expecting to read many varieties of poems from you.

Wow, thank you so much! You have no idea how much your feedback means to me! Very kind! When others give me their thoughts on my poems, it really does help me as a poet to understand better how my words connect with others and what their impressions are. Thanks again!

Thank you, Karen. I'm ok. I wrote this a little while back while I was struggling. But just now decided to post it. Thanks for the hugs!
