Should I remain ready
Attentive and alert
Should I remain available
Every time you get hurt
Should I never move on
Find no one else for me
Should I wait and wonder
What you and I could be
Should I speak only
to comfort or to praise?
Should I believe that you’ll be back
When you’re gone without a trace
Should I then still love you
With all my heart and soul
Or should I just silently leave
And risk you being alone?
