Let Me Hold Your Hand Once More
Let Me Hold Your Hand Once More.
Let me hold your hand once more.
Time is slipping away,
just like your hand
will from mine.
I want to feel the warmth of your soul,
to smile at the time we have.
The skies will always be blue.
The grass will remain green.
You will not always be young.
Show me your innocent gaze.
Tell me the wonders
that you see in the world,
that I lost, and long to get back.
Life is a mist in the morning,
beautifully fragile, disappears by noon.
Soon, your hand will be as big as mine,
then I will walk in your shadow.
So today, while you are young,
let me hold your hand once more.
