Let Me Be More

I am losing faith in our society
I don't have the grand God eye to see
My heart wants to help and believe
But I'm losing trust with each person a mystery.

How can one or two souls make a populous shift
How to use this God given compassionate gift
We need a Christ centered out of the muck lift
It doesn't need to be pondered make it swift.

Our complacency is spreading and effort is lost
We lack heart and no longer count the cost
With the power in our hands, responsibility is often tossed
We've lost sight of right or wrong lines are blurred and often crossed.

I am one who wishes to see change in a better way
Needing to speak up for those in need who can't say
Let me find the strength and a desire to pray
God let me be more than I am today.

I feel your hurt Brian when you take Jesus out of our government you are just left with religion where man thinks he knows best stay strong in your faith things will get worst unless we turn back to God God bless Leon.
