Let Love Embrace Us All

We could build desalination plants
get water up to rivers irrigate the land
the farms are dust and dying
we can't depend on rain

Take water from the ocean's
and let the salt remain
would help, to keep the balance
in nature's just domain

Reclaim the land from deserts
with water fresh and new
you build a land worth living
with trees and grass and dew

In forests, then build sprinklers
that turn on and keep them wet
reducing forest fire's
would stop the loss and pain

Perhaps we could build towers
with missiles filled of foam
with satellite surveillance
to put out the starting flame

build jobs within the starving world
and stop the starving child
we could invest in farming
with factories and shops

creating work and livelihoods
careers to set them free
parents that have money
can feed the starving child

stand up then heads of synagogue's
stand up then heads mosque's
stand up then proud as Christians
stand up now good and strong

stand up as heads of governments
stand up as Kings and Queens
walk tall, and strong then proud of life
this planet that you save

Will live to feed your family
and not become their graves
investment can be used my friend
to stop the dying lives

Investment stops the starving
our wars they could now stop
as people have the jobs they need
and farmers have the crops

we don't need to hate each other
become proud through out the world
the past is now forgiven
let love embrace us all
