Let Light Recede the Darkness In Your Heart

Let light recede the darkness in your heart.

People don't despair, because no one is there.
When in fact, one is everywhere.
He is the light that chases your demons away.
He'll never abandon you when everyone else couldn't
Stay.
You say l hate me, but he says l love you.
Just reach out for me and I'll reach out too.
You fatten yourself up with the guilt and pain to which your soul bears the stain.
Yet you never even sample a taste of the abundance of forgiveness there is to gain.
So woe is you, because you refuse to believe what's true. You seek comfort from those who are woe is me too.
So as you lie in the vast darkness of despair,
Just flick the switch.
The light was always there.
