Let It Rain

Let it rain! Oh God, let it rain! Wash away my anguish and pain! And mix my tears with spring showers, till sadness morphs into flowers. Purge the hurt from my soul for good, let me believe the way I should. And cleanse the sins of yesterday, with Your rejuvenating spray. Behind a veil of drizzling drops, tears cease, and anxiety stops. For; I am free to walk away from all my fears and doubts today. Faith tastes so amazingly sweet, I skip along on dancing feet! And feelings of hope start to grow, encouraging me as I go. (Rhyme) 3/13/2015

The first line introduces God in the best possible way. It's nice to read about an answered prayer washing away "hate" "sins "pain and lies". Well done, Emile

Hi Emile, Even though I usually associate rain with the pain of loss, I could feel the cleansing power of each drop in your beautiful poem. This is one of the best poems I have read on the Soup. You have an amazing talent and the poem and poet go to my faves! Love and blessings, Carolyn
