Lessons Learnt
In
my years
I have found
that your closest
most beloved friends
are more apt to hurt you
for they have your total trust.
A stranger could never get close
enough to your heart to hurt you bad
only a friend can ever touch you there.
If you're generous and compassionate
and try your best to be a true friend,
the more a target you become.
As the years start to add up
you will find that you can
pretty much count all
of your friends on
the fingers
of one
hand.
