Less Christmas
When Christmas time means less to us
and all it's meaning lost.
The thought of one small card can be
as little as the cost.
A blight to say that we don't know
his time and date of birth.
Locating where the manger stood
a futile place on Earth.
A holiday for family life
the single people shun.
Festivities for richest rich
that poor believe in none.
It's pagan tree to scare us off.
and keep us from our praise.
Department store's November First
to sell us gifts for days.
The music past Remembrance Day
to urk our sense of spirit.
The slogan Happy Holiday
to reach a far-off Meerut.
The frugal man of fewer needs
refusing the expense.
Our City Hall excluding it
to keep us from offense.
The one true God not focused on;
his son to be ignored.
Respect for all the reasons made
a savior can't afford.
