Leper I Am

leper i am
oozing is filth
come, Great I AM
rid of this spilth

i, the leper
lack sensation
and such shatter
cause these lesions

leper i am
so far from God
irked-- eye problem
joy-- i forgot

leprosy rules
hurting all friends
carelessly drools
nothing it mends

leper i am
all seems hopeless
step in, I AM
this heart's loveless

leper i am
please do linger...
... touch, Great I AM;
heal each finger

leper i am,
monster-- all hail!
long race i ran
from self, oh fail

o Great I AM
take over now
hurt many Man
enough pain now

leper i am
no more to be
bid Lord, "do scram"
infections flee

leper i am
hideous; stinks
i touch Your hem
healing in Wings

leper was i
but help me still
each day, oh my
has its fair deal

God; constant help
You did befriend
my rotten self
Thank You. Amen.

Like the woman in the Bible, you humble yourself and ask to be forgiven, knowing that God will not be deaf to your prayers, Jeszika. I find this poem very sincere, as it projects sentiments attributed to strong faith. Regards // paul

Hello Paul. How are you? I have been not been active on this platform for a long time. Thank you for the comment and for the reflections. He really does answer prayer. It was really a tough time I was going through. God helped me through, honestly. Regards, Jesz
