I'll have to take your word for this one, David. Leo's not on my radar. Only Tommy is. You know, Tommy Dorsey.

I keep forgetting that clerihews are supposed to be about famous people. Actually, Leo Gorcey was famous enough to have his own Wikipedia page. I never heard of him until I read that there's a blank spot on the front of the Sgt. Pepper's album cover, where Leo Gorcey picture was removed. Why? Because everyone else on the cover agreed to do it for free, but Leo asked for $400. I turned to the Internet to find that Leo was an actor who once starred in a movie called "Crazy Over Horses". He was a contemporary of Tommy Dorsey, who my mom loved. Anyway, that's just the tip of the Leo Gorcey iceberg.
