Lemon Twigs

Moving across the universe
I look up and see the twinkles from the black sky.
Embracing the sound and releasing my stress away.
I couldn’t help but notice you more.
Out of all the days, it seems like I had to see you more.
Remember I still exist,
I am not sure if I am glad to see you or sad from a distance.
A line I can’t cross,
Is this forever?
I hope you’re doing okay,
A friendship hidden in the attic,
Only revisited when I start to miss that time in life.
I was looking in the wrong places from the beginning,
Knowing you were there made me not worry.
I should’ve known and been more wiser,
To follow my feelings and change my thinking,
Now this is life with those decisions.
It’s been so long and gotten comfortable,
Is it even the same?
Are we still the kids that were just trying to find a good time?
You were important and didn’t show you.
How will life be as we grow older?
