Lemon Cake

I savor the creamy batter.
Divining of lemony cast.
Layer cake that’s sure to flatter.
This sumptuous treat will not last.
The melt of his eyes, when he asked.
I squeeze, like a sponge, yellow fruit.
Up and down zest the bodysuit.
Ring’d finger frosted quick submit.
Temptation of icing acute.
Chocolate, curled white, atop it.
