Lekker Lesson
They tell me the day that I was born,
Was as lekker a day as has ever been,
And life was simple and full of fun
And I was adored by kith and kin.
But school to me was a big surprise,
I wasn't the focus of teacher's day.
I must raise my hand before I spoke
And work must be done before I play.
I learned to fairly follow the rules,
That I could not always have my way.
The lessons taught in that lekker school,
Have lighted my way unto this day.
