'leaving Behind His Heart'
All along he knew this day would come
where he had to choose
he never knew it would come so quickly
it just snuck up on him
fragile,
emotionally not ready
How do you say goodbye to
the one thing that means everything to you?
Just to make others happy?
If he could walk away, he probably would
guess the book was not written that way
his happiness -
not on the agenda
everyone else takes priority
I have to walk away from you,
wish I could stay
just remember
it is not you -
life dictates this is not where I should stay
please take care of my heart
like I know you will
you're the only one
