Leave Me Where I Hang My Heart
i'm sitting in,
a rusted cage,
lost in words,
on an empty page,
it's full of secrets,
that mean the end,
my heart i only,
seem to lend,
but in this cage,
i can not fight,
and while im blind,
theres no day and night,
but the warmth,
before the sun set,
is a feeling,
i refuse to forget,
so here in air,
held by a string,
my world suspended,
is a scary thing,
so you sing,
a mournful song,
i wait to drop,
and you take far too long.
mistakes are mine. sorry.
