Leave Me Alone

ugh...

            you again?
         enough!
p l e a s e, enough...
writer's block!
just leave me alone.
r e m o v e...
the crippling hex
you've put on me.

I need no vacation!

          q u i t
      sucking dry
the ink in my pen;
allow it
         to s k a t e
from point A to B!

let it flow freely,
        I implore you...
just let it bleed!

you seem to
             enjoy
sticking to me
       like a stamp
on an envelope....
      I need some room
to b r e a t h e!

          please,
      leave me alone!
          q u i t
               stifling
      my creativity.
                  you've pinioned
      the wings
of my imagination!
snip off the strings
so it takes flight
a g a i n.
bother me no more, I said.
leave
        me
              alone!

Occurs from time to time … a way of the universe whispering ‘it’s me, not you, that writes’

That muse tends to be moody from time to time. Well said, Edward. Who hasn't experienced this hurdle in creativity!
