Learning From the Lord
Learning* Scriptures’ truth for wisdom’s performance
Empowered by the Holy Spirit toward fruitful service
Assured with God’s presence to be a blessing to others
Redeemed thru Christ’s blood and ready to declare Gospel
Nourished in the Saviour’s sufficiency in sharing gifts
Influenced toward faithful stewardship, devoid of greed
Nurtured for effective reaching-out pursuits
Geared along compassion of great commission.
From God’s Book are His laws, statutes and principles
Renewing minds, restoring souls, rejuvenating faith
Opening for opportunities’ optimization to do what’s right
Moving hearts to fulfill with gladness the Lord’s will.
To exalt Christ’s name is the result of biblical learning
Honouring Him with humility’ peace and submission-bliss
Extolling with worshipful praise His wondrous deeds.
Lord, here we are willing to learn from Your example
Obeying YOU against arrogant selfishness’ whims
Relying in Your guidance for jubilant triumph
Driven by Your love for us to teach those willing to learn!
*Proverbs 9:9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
