Learning From History

If we could learn from the mistakes we made in the past, we could heal the world and have peace at last. Idealistic perhaps... But anything is possible. Learning from history... By Michelle Morris 26/04/2020 He was noble, Strong and proud, He was a knighted warrior, From Arthur's Court. He fought in the Crusades, Thought it was all for a higher cause; Then learned that another's Religion is not worth fighting a war. By respecting each other and Our differences, We realise how much we have In common; It's all supposed to be for a good end, Of which many men have forgotten. For the love of power corrupts many men, Is often leads to their downfall; If only we put aside these mortal follies, We'd work together and save lives evermore. For religion and power has killed So many needlessly, Despite the claims that It's all God's destiny. One would hope that men would Learn from the mistakes of nations; And make haste to Heal future generations. © Michelle Morris, 2020
