Leaf Dance

leaf gets picked up
blows around in the air
twists around effortlessly
enjoying the wind

leaf drops to the driveway
rises again, slowly, without a care,
breeze twirls her in a circle

I watch, entranced
loving autumn
and right now
this maple leaf

she smiles,
relaxed, happy,
as the wind scoots her
across the driveway
