Lead Me On

Through the lonely jagged road
Beneath the shades of thorny trees
By the precipice of the mountain-top
Against the mighty winds and waters
Lead me, and I will go.

Away from the borders of my father land
To the dry, hot desert land
To a hut, a perched house, a tent
Among a people of unpopular culture
Lead me, and I will go.

With a melody in my heart
A Word of Truth for my mouth
Daily bread for me to feed
An Angel to take the lead
Lead me LORD, and I will go.
