Lazy Days

Days to while away in dreams
Between headline news
That screams of another
Disaster,
A new handsome President,
Young, first African-American...
Hours to gossip with friends
And laugh about ridiculous fashions...
Lazy days to watch movies,
Some old, some new, to laugh or
Cry through.

Lazy days!
Those days of freedom from life's stresses,
Munching,
Resting,
Reading,
Sleeping,
Dreaming,
Eyes open,
Eyes closed,
Stifling a yawn, or not...
Ah!
Hats off
To
Lazy days!

You don't spend your lazy days in the park the way Spanky and Our Gang does. Still, it's an interesting write.
