Law Book

So many rules
that nobody follows
I don't know what you want me to do
I've disconnected
I write for myself
I can't help what they do
Getting my mind focused
back to my original beliefs
I'll be 6 1/2 years now
but maybe I'll get the real Corinne back
All I can do is try
months alone to do what i need to
to make things right
it's the only thing I can do

When it comes to writing, I tend to disregard the "rules" often, Corrine. Like you, I write for myself and there are times when I find the person inside whom I thought I had lost. Compelling poem. Best wishes, Carolyn
