Late

Late
Poem
Lionel Derbyshire

Late ..
Our aniversary date
Sorry you had to wait.
Don't be long lip.
The mat is Persian
Scarlet napkin folded
On your lap
The seats are velvet
The glasses crystal
Just for you.
Around us flutes
Are whistling sweet.
The drummer man drums
Dum dum dish dish
The flute plays a soft
Choo choo choo
Cheeky choo
The pianoman tickles a melody
The guitar is strumming
La la la dooo da la la ahah ..
Seductive your cheeky red leg
Curls mine
Under our dinner table
Wow ! and wee !
Oxtail and lambshank
We having
Beef and lamb
Tonite my heart
Wanna make
Your bells ring.
Just give me minute
Never too late.
Sweet babe love.
Wicked red wine
Stalls our time.
Lush lush ... no rush
Late no more
Love will bubble.
Right on time.
