Last Walk

I am running the last mile in my life, The age and tired feet have made my run to a limping walk, still, I walk and walk to the beacon of hope, Never let the pessimism take over the last straw of my hope. Sometimes I fall, to get up and keep going again, Sometimes tired I stand to watch the cycle of life revolve around my eyes, Sometimes I feel loved, sometimes I feel ignored, Sometimes I feel the time has passed by me, still I see my soul's destination in front of me. In the journey of life my soul is searching for love and peace, The feeling of love where I will lose the existence of mine, The sense of peace and tranquility where I would not hear my melancholy songs again, I will walk miles looking for until I fall and can't get up again. I meet so many souls on my way with troubled mind, confused about the goals and destinations of their life, Some say I am old, I don't want to live, They will have to walk with me enjoying the virtues and glory of their life.

"Sometimes I feel the time has passed by me, still I see my soul's destination in front of me. " One who sees this destination before him will never feel fatigued even if his limbs ache and his body grows weak. There are reasons for us to complain, but greater reasons are there for us to rejoice. Your poems full of positivity, I do enjoy.

I once was a competitive runner and enjoyed the 'pain' of running. Now I have to be content with a 'rapid' walk...such is also true of my life...once ran through my days and now my walks take me on journeys of love peace you mention. I'm around other 'older' folks who are much younger than I am, complaining about life at this point...can't handle the negativity. Anyway, I ramble. Your words obviously struck a chord with me. Faving...and have a splendid evening, Sara
