Last Slice of Pie
remember when the other day there was only a slice of
chocolate cake left and i cut it in half saving a piece for you
never mind that thirty minutes later i went back and ate it
still i was thinking of you
i put my name on the last slice of pie, it was cherry
in the fridge the pie was gone but the note was there
mocking me with my name on it
all is fair in love and war, especially food favorites
i did not eat your mars bars, but you think i did
they are still hidden in the pantry behind the two cans
of peach slices, where you forgot you put them
by the way we need more peach slices,
