Last Rosebud of Summer

Small burgundy rose bud
Surely the last rose of summer
Very tightly bound like a stud
You've graced my day, an affirmer

Surely the last rose of summer
Winter will come bringing cold
You've graced my day, an affirmer
That my existence should be bold

Surely the last rose of summer
Very tightly bound like a stud
Winter will come bringing cold
Small burgundy rose bud

(Stud here means like a stud on clothes that is an ornanment)

I love my roses too, I like the roses that are compact and don't drop their petals as soon as they open. I hope its not the last rose of summer. God Bless. Leon
