"Thousands of moments I have wasted living,
for I believed that I had a thousand more waiting. "

Last Minutes of Life

let me tell you a story
it began as a normal day
until suddenly my world was moving and rumbling
I heard crashing and screaming
my apartment building was falling
with me inside
I knew that I could not survive this
as the roof above me fell apart and beams
where being destroyed by a horrific earthquake
when it ended I was pinned down beneath a fallen beam
debri was everywhere and I saw a dead body
I was able to reach into my jeans pocket
and my cell phone was there with a connection
I knew that my time was limited
as the building was creaking and groaning
I had minutes to live
so I called my sister
my parents alreading residing in heaven
with grandma
hi, how are you she said, from another city far away
well, I said, things could be better
and I don't have much time
so let me say this, I love you
I love you too she replied
there was a hush around me
I think everyone else was dead
what's going on, she asked
I was able to gasp out ... earthquake through my tears
and I am trapped and then, I was dead
it only took 39 minutes ...

"Thousands of moments I have wasted living, for I believed that I had a thousand more waiting. " such a deep and relevant quote. it sometimes takes us our last moments to realize trophies achievements insecurities statuses don't compare to the ones of whom are dearest to us.. what really matters shines through when we realize we have no more time to spare. lovely write Dearest Constance.
