Last Long

Happiness, brief spurts of sporadic uplifts
A dirty glass from which you wish to see through
Clean appearance, yet your visibility is cut down
A moment of bliss before terror reigns
A brief peek in on your intended fantasy
Smiles last as long as traffic lights
Quickly, the uplifts become downward slides
Good while it lasted but hardly satisfying
