Four Beautiful Lines Poetry Contest
Sponsor- Constance La France
~ PLACED FIRST~

“Dead leaves do not cease to exist. They live in another form, may be as nutrient to quicken another life. That way, every death is a doorway to another life”. ~ By Poet
Last leaves of the ancient maple, yellowed and frayed, Fluttering and dancing silently in mellowed stillness, Nose dived into the burnt sienna ground below, To become fodder for the saplings of spring.

Dearest Valsa, Your well inked words evoke such a beautiful, peaceful reflection on life and death, transforming sorrow into renewal. I loved how the image of the maple leaves, drifting silently, speaks so deeply of the cycles we’re all part of, how each ending feeds into something new. Every loss carries with it the seed of something to come. A Fav!! Spring Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel I truly loved this

When I read your first poem, I knew there is a poet in you. You never disappoint me though I must occasionally miss a read. Fault of my hormone therapy. Death is ear but as you so vividly write, we go to a better place. Blessings, dear Valsa.

Dear Valsa, This is a beautifully evocative piece, rich with imagery and a deep sense of the natural cycle. The personification of the leaves as they "flutter and dance" adds a graceful, almost melancholic touch, while the final line ties everything together with a sense of renewal and continuity. All the best for the contest...Hugs
