Last Leaf On a Tree
(The poem is based on The Short Story of O Henry " The Last Leaf". I was reminded of it while I saw a last leaf in the winter of 2011 while living at Concord, NC)
One leaf left on tree
Not a sound of the sadness
Neither the despair
One leaf left on tree
No undue unhappiness
Neither any pain.
One leaf left on tree
All by itself in the air
Feels no forlornness.
One leaf left on tree
It spends itself in swaying
Breathing in the breeze.
Last leaf not the end
When tumbles down as time comes
Hundreds of buds sprout.
