Last Chance

The smoke alarm goes off awakening me
I make sure my hubby is awake and grab my purse
Yes, my purse also called my suitcase by others
In my purse I have a change of undies, important
papers, and a weeks supply of medication for us both

Great preparation! I had to smile as my purse has a flashlight,safety pins,hand soap,Doctor cards,i've even said, maybe my children's birth certificates and shot records[ha]. good poem! Avis
