Breathing the last breath Short and labored Needing just one more To last – to last Blood running cold In veins of hope Where the final flow Drains all feeling Breathing the first breath Whisper of grace Facing God with only faith To fill eternity Blood doesn’t pour out Through arteries of doubt Where the victory comes From knowing God’s Son Breathing the last breath Reminds us all that death Brings about the first breath In infinity – eternity Heaven or hell? Will you be there? One of these is our destiny Where will you be? I claim the victory In heaven’s home where we Face the One who created us To be with Him in everlasting Harmony, joy, ecstasy He is the One who died for me And I only long to breath My first and last breath In His presence Where I can be assured Of eternal serenity Eternal security Eternal surety Peace forever Unendingly
