Lantern Feast
. for public domain
I believe that it is fairly common
at the end of a story to think
of the meaning of what we have witnessed,
in the length of our lives,
which is hardly a blink.
Beyond the final word in any novel,
beyond the last line or rhyme in a poem,
fruits of analysis and wondering,
ripen, flower and blossom
in us when we are alone.
So glean, and feast on the open harvest,
let Nature and Plenty their Loving Grace,
fill your body, your mind, and your being
to Light overflowing.
Let Lanterns shine from your face.
