Lament
Now that the old cloud of clumsy curse
Encountered with my gentle person
And branched over me, a horrible
Tree of lightening, crushed me almost
To desert like a lonely cacti.
And those rest on my couch cozy
With the blades of beautiful boughs
Tear apart my mattress of love
Exposing me to steel bars
Eating up the flesh of my back
Breaking this old mine and wrecked spine.
The streak of old sun now
In the disguise of warmth
Piercing through artless bones
Nothing but a pain plain
I laughed for after all
At senses, I'd have wept
