Lady Luck

Lady Luck

Spin the wheel my lady luck
Let's return a hefty buck
She smirked and teased
Not quite ready me to please

The numbers rolled with every spin
Someone else continued to win
I cursed her hard under my breath
She was going to be my death

Suddenly I felt her nudge,
Was I too soon, her hard to judge
She smiled and winked
and in a blink
The numbers ran like Bolt Husain,
I was about to go insane
My bets increased as I won more
My thundering claps, my gleeful roar
I was not greedy just chasing losses
My hard earned money, often, away she tosses

She willingly obliged and smiled
I knew she was serious, she never lied
My chip stack grew and grew
many tips their way I threw
She whispered gently, she needs to go
Others needed her even more
I swear I heard her whisper to me,
TAKE IT NOW WALK OUT THE DOOR
Lady luck was very kind
My anger, rage, just made me blind
When you lose, don't chase the loss
Walk away show them, who's boss
