Lady In Red (Rubaiyat)

He always loved the song 'Lady In Red'
so I decided to mess with his head,
The dress I wore showed cleavage and some legs
was flaming red with strands of silver thread.

I pinned my hair up with some silver pegs
and took a drink down to the very dregs,
The music's on, his song begins to play
he looks at me with eyes that truly begs.

He took me in his arms we danced away
he held me tightly wishing I would stay,
I felt his body warming to my touch
as on his heaving chest my head I lay.

But now I'm thinking, this is just too much
so I stepped back and glanced down at my watch,
And said I have to go, excuse me please
the shock showed as his jaws fell down a notch.

And as I gave his hand a gentle squeeze
the twinkle in my eyes made him say "Freeze,"
He kissed my lips and led me to the bed
and said "Lady in red, you're such a tease."
