Lady Autumn

Near August’s end, she starts to saunter in. The time has come when I will start to long for June’s sweet tune I whistled on a whim, for Autumn croons a melancholy song. 3/1/2020 For Line Gauthier's Bite Size Poem No26 Poetry Contest

"To long for June's sweet tune". I just love your poetry of seasonal change. Congrats on your win in Greg's contest - it was well-deserved. Going over to read the original now...

Couldn't find "From Beautiful Sadness" in your poem list. Have you changed the title perhaps? I'd love to read it...

Perhaps that is why Autumn is my favorite season, we have a lot in common. A lovely write Andrea.

The bright colors of autumn make her contradictory, yet the death of plant life makes her coming take on melancholy shades. A beautiful stanza you have chosen for this contest Andrea. Wish his list was not premier. xxoo

Four beautiful, stand-alone lines. Personally, I'm turning giddy smelling Spring's closeness in the Virginia air. LOVE spring. I think your lines are adorable, so does June but maybe not so Autumn! Love, CayCay

I was born early september, almost autumn time. It's a beautiful time but I prefer the "fun" aspect of summer. It stays with me from when i was a kid longing for my summer vaycay!
