Laceration
Shredding layer after layer
Until laid threadbare,
You keep up your game
Until the wild turns tame.
Unraveling piece after piece
Until utter unease,
You flaunt your art
Until the knots fall apart.
In a lapse of eons…
Until the wit dims
For spirit to kindle.
Pray build me in your mint
And lend me strength
For blows
And aches.
Rips and Jabs.
Drained of will,
This Being's now an empty vessel;
Shape,
Carve,
Fill.
Here and now…
I bow.
I surrender, I implore.
Ferry me across, carry ashore
To
Quiescence.
