Labyrinth

LABYRINTH In dream I followed labyrinthine ways Of paths to my beginning whence I’d roam But myriad of signs that marked my strays Were faded and unclear, could not lead home The choices that I made along the way Laid out the part I’d play, set forth my track The roads I followed led me to this day This place and viewpoint set; no going back Regret cannot amend the stage I stand Nor cancel one line in the parts I’ve played From all the journeys chosen or unplanned The being that I am - of these I’m made Thus life that we determine and avow Begins not in the past but in the now

Another excellent write! "Do not eat, thine own heart". It must be a natural process with age, looking back. I am one who would change a lot, especially the people I needless hurt, too wrapped-up in myself to see the pain I was causing others. Love these people who say, "If I went back, there is nothing I would change." I would change most everything...even the good, to make better. Not to take things too personally, Karma has brought us all together. No one alone is to blame. Fav!! again.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful and perceptive comments, Joe. I share your feeling for my many, selfish, thoughtless and careless acts, that I regret. My point ion this poem is that I have to accept my failings, that cannot be repealed, and start again from now. You have stated this eloquently in your words on Karma.
