You eloquently captured the movement and mystery within the painting David whilst ensuring there was an element of edginess. Encapsulating what it is to be intriguing and insightful with a little bit of unknown danger - excellent :) thank you for taking the time to write for my contest.

Woohoo! Thanks so much Dilly it’s definitely one of my better monokus for direct line of sight into the abstract world rather than the other way round, was a great feeling when this one spontaneously fell into place, after searching through Chagall’s back catalogue, edginess comes quite naturally to me for better or worse, cheers David

Chagall is tough to interpret and your piece gives it depth defined. Braver man than me! Good luck in the contest. :o))

Thanks Arlo, I usually just go with my gut on these interpretational pieces, probably best not to overthink the consequences! Cheers David

Chagall likes floaters in his paintings. It’s as if they swim on his canvas. You did a twofer. I didn’t know we could write more than one. Yours are both outstanding, and of course, rhyming.

Heya Lin, I didn’t actually see anything in the rules saying limited to one monoku, I just went with my own immediate interpretation, A twofer seemed to be screaming at me! Lol, high praise, cheers David
