La Lights

Looking down at the glitter,
as the wings of the plane
tipped to touch the earth.
More like viewing a planet than
a city.
Stretching lights like butterfly wings
coming out of it's cocoon.
A work of art.
A billion Christmas trees illuminating
the sky.
I am formally home.
Angels welcoming me.
Overwhelmed by the beauty.
I am writing a screenplay.
Everybody writes a screenplay.

You did well in Matt's contest with this entry. The scenery does look pretty at night from the window of a plane.
