Kyiv
Has it gone away from God's hand?
Has it become a no man's land?
Capital city of Ukraine,
Wherein citizens under pain;
Think of its flourishing glory,
As center state of industry;
Institutions and history,
Educational mastery;
Abiding near river Dnieper,
Rich and vast in infrastructure;
Caught in chains of dead dissensions,
Lost in indefinite tensions;
Russia does constant shell-gaming,
Toward dreadful damage, aiming;
Promises of heads not matching,
Neighbors, like cats on walls, watching;
Kyiy, like pond in storms, is muddled,
Kith and kin try to stand cuddled;
Putin plays the role of Nero,
Zelenskyy, yet, is the hero...!
