I'm looking forward to the day I can have a basic down-to-earth conversation with God, face-to-face. I hear God is nebulous and face-to-face is sometimes out of the equation. Of course, like many, though many would disagree - like many, although many would not admit - I speak internally every day, to "that I am"; however, if, as you state below - "Conscience = Voice of God" - then, perhaps, this is true - if man is made in the image of God, then God is both light and dark...and one wonders how dark, God actually gets....is God looking for our light, to balance his dark? Is God the greatest paradox?

As long as we are in bondage to thought, it may be preferable to think of God as not a this or that form, label, deity or whatever but rather as soft white, self-existent light, radiating love, wisdom and power to the scale of infinity; the icing on the cake being, He is as such resident within the cave of our heart, awaiting our embrace.

The aspect of us that seeks, is identity, a thought construct. Dropping it, what remains, who seeks? Becoming one with the all that is, we are he who we once sought. The key word is becoming, not thinking. All is within, nothing is ‘out there’. Our true self is living light and it is that that is made in God’s image, not this decaying organic form.

at some point, I am sure God will answer that succinctly. If God is the God we are led to believe God is. One has to hold onto the notion that God is "good". Otherwise, faith in something larger than ourselves and not as dark as ourselves, is lost. So one has to hold onto the notion that "GOD" is good. No doubt, God will vindicate that in some way, more than likely after, those that think they speak for God do.
