Knight of the Golden Fleece

Weepers with hoods — tear-stained, faceless. Dirge monks with shields. Knight of the golden fleece on a slab in requiem. The silent mouth of Cicero. Fell in love with this funereal piece — Tomb of Philippe Pot with life-sized pleurants. His hands steepled in prayer, a lion in repose at his feet — Grand Seneschal of Burgundy 9/28/2020 Tomb of Philippe Pot Louvre Museum

Intriguing although I don't know the artist... I probably should, but don't pretend to be well versed in masterpieces in artistic forms :) Love to you and blessings too

I bet is was very intriguing. Maybe someday I will be able to see it. However, I have been to the Johnny Cash Museum. :) That is about as cultured as I get, lol. I'm just kidding. I'm very open-minded about things. Beautiful write, Kim. Love, Angie

Inspired by a great artist and designed by himself. Well writ., Kim. I've been to The Louvre once but who can remember all those famous masterpieces? ~~

I was in awe of this one. I had one day so I had to move fast to cover all of the museum. It was a dream of mine since High School. Thank you!
