Knife

Doctor's knife saves life and it makes a balance as, thief cuts throat. Our heart cut into pieces by a knife, known as tongue. Chef's knife cuts vegetable, butcher's knife meat and baker's knife bread. The knife that cuts down your career, it is known as pen. Tailor's knife cuts clothes plumber's knife pipe and wood is by carpenter. The knife that cuts down relation, it is known as your anger. Mason's knife cuts cement bag, farmer's knife crops and gardener's knife fence. The knife that cuts down future, it is known as your laziness. ======================== More three stanza added later to make it better & fascinating.

Hi there, Thanks again for reading my first poem. I came over to reciprocate and read a few of yours. This one I liked the best of what I read so far. It gave an excellent example of the dichotomy that one simple thing in life can have.

The knife cuts both ways...meaning, to have both advantages and disadvantages. I enjoyed your poem Manmath! : )

Some interesting metaphors with the knife, Manmath. Words can be molded into either a weapon or a shield ... all depends on you.

An interesting tool to write about. Manmath. The tongue is a mighty blade. You penned this one great. Interesting relations between the being and meaning. Linda

The tongue as a knife is a great last line, Manmath. That cuts people to pieces for sure.
